Biographical

Tanya Tate has been a mediator since 2010 and has mediated cases involving Employment Litigation, Restrictive Covenants, Trade Secrets, Contracts and Torts, Commercial Litigation, Insurance Coverage, School Law, Government Law, Premises, Liability, and Personal Injury Suits. Tanya also frequently serves as an independent investigator investigating claims of workplace harassment and discrimination claims, as well as FLSA violations. Before beginning her work as a mediator, Tanya had her own litigation practice from 2003 until 2010 handling cases in the areas of business litigation, with an emphasis on labor and employment matters, particularly issues arising under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and the Georgia Trade Secrets Act. She also represented plaintiffs and defendants in a multitude of complex business litigation matters, including matters involving restrictive covenants, franchise law, and trade secret disputes. Prior to starting her own practice, Tanya worked at Andersen, Tate & Carr where she represented both plaintiffs and defendants, primarily in employment law and business litigation matters. Ms. Tate began her legal career at Mabry and McClelland (formerly Chambers, Mabry, McClelland & Brooks), primarily representing insurance companies in employment law, school law, personal injury and premises liability matters.
