Biographical
Bob Hoyle has practiced law in Manatee County, Florida since 1986. He is a 1975 graduate of Harvard College and a 1986 graduate of Capital University Law School. Bob also attended the Harvard Law School Program On Negotiation Mediation Training Seminar. He was certified in 1999 by the Florida Supreme Court as a Circuit Civil and County Civil mediator, and is also certified as a mediator for the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Bob is also a qualified Arbitrator.
Bob is a past chair of the Executive Council of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the Florida Bar. While serving in that position, he appeared before the Florida Supreme Court on two occasions to argue proposed changes to the Rules Governing Mediators on behalf of the Executive Council. Bob also served as Chair of the Florida Bar Council Of Sections.
.Bob has published "Mediation Strategies: Preparing the Client for Mediation" in the Fall 2011 edition of Action Line, a publication of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section, and "Do You Have A Settlement?", "Amendment To Rule 1.720", "Mediation Conflicts of Interest" and "Silence Is Golden- And Required" in the Inter Alia, a publication of the Manatee County Bar Association. He has made the following lecture presentations: "How to Succeed at Mediation by Trying" and "Ethical Issues for Mediators" for the Manatee County Bar Association, "Mediator Conflicts of Interest and Impartiality" for the 12th Judicial Circuit Citizen Dispute Settlement Program, "Best Practices To Avoid Grievances and Litigation Involving Mediator Misconduct" for the Florida Supreme Court Dispute Resolution Center 2012 and 2013 Conferences, "Proposed Changes to Florida Rule for Mediators 10.340" for the Florida Bar Alternative Dispute Resolution Section, "Mediation Conflicts of Interest: Traps for the Unwary" for the Florida Bar Continuing Legal Education Committee and as a national webinar presentation for LawReview CLE, "Mediation Advocacy" at the 2015 Florida Bar Annual Conference , "Confidentiality and Privilege in Mediations" at the 2016 Florida Bar Annual Conference . and "Mediation Conflicts of Interest" at the 2015 Worker's Compensation Institute Annual Conference.
Outside of the mediation arena, Bob has published a book on weight training called How Much Can You Control? A Guide to a Lifetime of Consistent Improvement Through Safe Weight Training.
