Richard has 35 years of legal experience, including over two decades of civil litigation and jury trials. He became a mediator in 1999, and since then has conducted nearly 3,500 mediation conferences and other proceedings. In 2014, Richard opened his own firm devoted exclusively to dispute resolution.
Richard grew up in Lancaster County, where he attended South Carolina public schools. He graduated The Citadel and the University of South Carolina School of Law before moving to Florence to begin his career.
Richard has two wonderful daughters, an awesome granddaughter, and three granddogs. In his free time, he enjoys officiating baseball at the high school level and below. He is also an active member of St. John's Anglican Church.
