Mark E. Lassiter

Mr. Lassiter is an Arizona (active) and California (inactive) attorney and a full-time arbitrator and mediator in his 43rd year of practice in the areas of business, real estate, construction, technology, and organizational dispute resolution. He is an Adjunct Professor of Arbitration Law at the Sandra Day O’Connor School of Law at Arizona State University, an AV Preeminent® rated attorney, a Southwest Super Lawyer® in Alternative Dispute Resolution (“ADR”), a Fellow in the College of Commercial Arbitrators, a Member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, and has been an arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) and the International Centre for Dispute Resolution since 1991, where he currently serves on the AAA’s Commercial, Construction, Large and Complex Case, Emergency Relief, and Consumer panels. As a mediator, he is a Fellow in the American College of Civil Trial Mediators (“ACCTM”), serves on the mediation panels of the AAA and the NADN, is trained in the Early Dispute Resolution (“EDR”) Protocols and Risk Adjusted Value methods of the EDR Institute, and is an inaugural member of the AAA’s EDR Mediation Panel. Mr. Lassiter has been appointed in AAA matters in California, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas and Nevada in dozens of disputes relating to a wide variety of dispute types, including Construction litigation, Business & Employment cases, Technology and e-Commerce, Real Estate, Commercial Leases and many other matters.

$650.00 per hour. Hourly rate applies to preliminary hearings, conference calls, and correspondence with counsel and/or other case administrative staff, reading time & writing awards. For disputes where the amount in controversy is less than $100,000 exclusive of interest, costs and attorneys' fees I am willing to work for a negotiable flat fee that is proportional to the amount in controversy. I am willing to serve throughout the U.S. Will bill for out-of-pocket expenses, but WILL NOT BILL FOR TRAVEL TIME. Cancellation/postponement policy: If any hearing dates are cancelled or continued for any reason, and written notice of same is not received at least 10 business days before the first hearing date, then 4 hours will be billed for each cancelled hearing day.
