Joshua S. Whitley

Josh Whitley is an experienced trial lawyer with a substantial alternative dispute resolution practice, having successfully mediated or arbitrated hundreds of matters to final resolution. His ADR work is concentrated in complex healthcare disputes—including nursing home and medical malpractice cases—as well as general liability, governmental litigation, and employment matters. He is known for a pragmatic, client-oriented approach that facilitates efficient and durable resolutions in high-stakes cases.

Mr. Whitley clerked for the Honorable Dennis W. Shedd of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He has been deeply engaged in public and civic service, having served three terms on Berkeley County Council representing Daniel Island, Clements Ferry Road, and Hanahan. During his tenure, he served for many years as Chairman of the Finance and Economic Development Committee. He is currently a trustee of Wofford College and previously served on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Charleston Regional Development Alliance.
