Biographical
Jerry Weiss was the first attorney in Northeast Ohio to devote his practice entirely to mediation. As a neutral whose work has evolved over the past 27 years, he has drawn on his academic and practical experience and his years of work as a litigator, to accomplish a high success rate in the resolution of disputes. Jerry has deep experience in the mediation of complex cases and he frequently lectures in the United States and abroad on topics involving disputes and people and institutions involved in them. Jerry knows the problems facing litigants and their counsel and is acclaimed for his dealing with the negative impact of adjudicative processes and in helping disputants in moving forward. He has mediated cases to successful conclusion that were otherwise thought to be intractable and unresolvable, both regionally and nationally.
Jerry is the only mediator in Northeast Ohio to be inducted as a Distinguished Fellow in the peer-selected International Academy of Mediators (“IAM”), thought by many to be the world’s foremost cohort of distinguished neutrals. He sits on the Board of Governors of that Academy.
