Biographical
James W. Spink is an "AV" rated trial attorney and litigation specialist based in Burlington, Vermont. He has tried to verdict well over 125 cases over the last 35 years including civil matters of all types.
Mr. Spink is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers (FACTL) and a Fellow of the American College of Civil Trial Mediators. He has, for years, devoted more than half of his professional time to mediating and arbitrating civil disputes of all types although he remains an active trial lawyer as well. He conducts ADR sessions in civil matters on a daily basis.
He has arbitrated many cases over the years often as a member of a panel but, on occasion, as a sole arbitrator as well. He has completed over 3400 mediations and arbitrations. He is one of the most active evaluators in the ENE program of the U.S. District Court for the District of Vermont. The demand for his services as an ADR specialist now requires that he devote the vast majority of his professional time to arbitrations and mediations. He recently completed an intensive two day training in New York City in commercial arbitrations for the AAA.
