Biographical

Aric J. Garza brings more than 25 years of legal experience to the table, with a practice grounded in commercial litigation, real estate, and probate law throughout Texas. As a seasoned arbitrator and mediator, he is known for combining deep legal insight with a practical, evaluative approach to dispute resolution.

Aric currently serves as Chair of the ADR Section of the State Bar of Texas and is a former Chair of the ABA Dispute Resolution Section’s Arbitration Committee as well as the San Antonio Bar Association’s ADR Section. He represents the San Antonio Bar Association in the ABA House of Delegates and is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, the Texas Bar Foundation and the San Antonio Bar Foundation.

He is an Arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association, handling complex commercial, employment and construction-related disputes. His national presence is matched by his commitment to ADR — Aric is a frequent CLE speaker and presenter on ADR trends, ethics, and advocacy across the United States. Aric has been assigned over 200 AAA arbitrations and has made determinations in over 5,000 desk arbitrations since 2014.
