Biographical

Ms. Anderson's current practice is limited to serving as an on-line mediator. She has served as a mediator for all types of state, workers' compensation, and federal court matters and was certified as a mediator in 1993. Ms. Anderson has mediated hundreds of cases including discrimination (sex, race, age, national origin, and religion); FMLA; Wage Claims; Tort Claims; ADA; Wrongful Discharge; Sexual Harassment; Covenants not to Compete; USERRA; ERISA; Civil Rights Violations and other employment-related matters. Ms. Anderson practiced management employment law with Constangy Brooks & Smith (1993-1996); and Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice (Partner 1989-1991; Associate 1981-1989). Ms. Anderson has also represented employees while in practice in Pilot Mountain, NC. In addition to mediating employment disputes, Ms. Anderson has mediated a wide variety of claims including contract, medical malpractice, tort claims, business disputes, condemnation actions, insurance coverage disputes, unfair and deceptive trade practices, and trade secrets. Ms. Anderson has been elected as a Fellow by The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and has actively participated in the North Carolina Bar Association Labor and Employment Section (Past Chair) and Dispute Resolution Section (Past Chair). Ms. Anderson is also a frequent speaker on alternative dispute resolution.
