Hon. Peter E. Doyne (Ret.), formerly the Assignment Judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Bergen County, and distinguished Member of the Judiciary for twenty-two years, co-chairs the firm’s alternative dispute resolution and corporate investigations practices. Judge Doyne regulary serves as a mediator, arbitrator in complex commercial disputes, and special master and also as a special hearing officer for government agencies.
In addition, he consults both internally and with attorneys outside the firm on a variety of business, fiduciary, and other litigation matters. He also is a frequent lecturer for the Judicial College and ICLE.

Judge Doyne was graduated from Lafayette College, cum laude, and received his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law, Newark.
Memberships & Affiliations
Judge Doyne is a member of the New Jersey and New York Bars. Judge Doyne served as President of the Morris Pashman American Inn of Court for nine years and is a member of the New Jersey Fellows of the American Bar Foundation. He was the recipient from Lafayette College of the William G. Wilson Distinguished Service Award.
Governor Murphy recently appointed Judge Doyne to the Judicial Advisory Panel, otherwise consisting solely of the current and former New Jersey Supreme Court Justices and Bar Presidents, for evaluating candidates for judgeships. While serving in the Judiciary, Judge Doyne received appointments to a number of Supreme Court committees, including the Supreme Court Working Group on Business Litigation, for which he served as the Chair, and the Supreme Court Ad Hoc Committee on the Code of Judicial Conduct.
Best Lawyers in America®, a peer review of U.S. lawyers, included Judge Doyne on its Best Lawyers list in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution in 2017; the North Jersey Media Group selected him one of Bergen’s Top Lawyers in 2017 in its 201 Magazine and Judge Doyne was included among the Best Individual Mediators in New Jersey in the New Jersey Law Journal’s Best of 2017.
