Paul McEllistrem is a shareholder with the McEllistrem Fargione Law Firm. He has been serving clients in Minnesota and Wisconsin for over 21 years. Paul was appointed by the Minnesota Supreme Court to serve on the No-Fault Arbitration Standing Committee in 2006. He is currently serving in his second 4-year term on the committee and chairs the Arbitrator Misconduct Subcommittee.
Paul has been teaching no-fault insurance law as an adjunct professor at William Mitchell College of Law since 1998. His law practic is focused on handling plaintiff's personal injury, wrongful death, DRAM shop and insurance coverage cases. Paul has litigated cases in Minnesota (State and Federal Court), Wisconsin, South Dakota, and New Mexico. He has also successfully argued cases before the Minnesota Court of Appeals and Supreme Court.
Paul is a Minnesota State Bar Association Civil Trial Specialist and has tried many injury, wrongful death and DRAM shop cases to verdict.
Paul began doing mediations in 2007 out of a strong interest in the mediation process, and out of his love of dealing with people. He has been appointed as a Special Master by Hennepin County District Court Judges to resolve discovery and pretrial disputes. In the past five years, Paul has dedicated an increasing and considerable amount of time from his practice to resolving all types of disputes through Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).
