Joe Epstein has mediated over 4000 cases over a 20 year career as a full time mediator. A Distinguished Fellow and former Vice-President of the International Academy of Mediators, Joe Epstein has enjoyed a distinguished career as a successful trial attorney, legal educator, author, and mediator. He has been named Best Mediator of the Year by Law Week of Colorado.
Joe utilizes special people skills , daring and precise analytical insight to creatively and skillfully bring parties to closure in complex cases. Joe utilizes a proactive ADR style and individualized case design in business, catastrophic injury, class action, employment, healthcare, mass tort, medical malpractice, nursing home, probate, product liability, railroad, trucking and wrongful death cases.

A graduate of New York University School of Law, where is was a member of the Annual Survey of American Law, Joe's over 200 hours of ADR training has been at Harvard University School of Public Health, the Strauss School of Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University, CDR Associates, and the International Academy of Mediators.
Joe has published mediation articles and lectured on barriers to dispute resolution, psychodynamics of mediation, mediation of wrongful death cases, co-mediation, employment mediation, effection mediation of high value cases, Native American Wisdom, pre-litigation and early dispute mediation, business break ups, individual mediation design, transportation mediation, probate mediation, and other articles available at www.crs-adr.com.
Memberships & Affiliations
Joe Epstein is a member of the Colorado Executive Committee for NADN and a Distinguished Fellow of the International Academy of Mediators. Joe has served as President of the Colorado Trial Lawyer's Association, as a Board Member of Trial Lawyers for Public Justice, and as a Board member of the Arapahoe Bar Association. He has also served as a Trustee in Bankruptcy, as an Assistant United States Attorney, a Special Assistant Attorney General for Colorado, and as a Governor of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. Joe has served on the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 18th Judicial District, on the Colorado Health Facilities Advisory-Counsel, and on the Governor's Civil Justice Task Force. Joe served as Vice-President of the Colorado Association of Retarded Citizens, as counsel for the Jefferson County Mental Health Center, the Southwest Denver Mental Health Center, the Colorado Dental Society, and the Colorado Psychiatric Society. He has also served on the adjunct faculty for the University of Denver teaching Trial Tactics, Negotiation and Mediation, and Health Care Mediation.
Joe is also a member of the Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, and Arapahoe Bar Associations, and PJF (Public Justice Foundation)
