BIOGRAPHICAL:Judge Colbath has served as a Palm Beach County Judge for well over 15 years, and most recently as Chief Judge from 1997 through 2001. His experience is diverse and extensive having been assigned to the Criminal, Civil, Family and Foreclosure Divisions of the Court during his judicial tenure.
Judge Colbath's certification as a Circuit Court Civil Mediator follows on the heels of his exemplary career on the bench, and serving on the Faculties of the National Judicial College in Reno, Nevada, the Florida Advanced Judicial Studies and the Florida Judicial College. He also has served on many statewide committees by appointment of the Chief Justice as well as local committees for professionalism and technology.
EDUCATION:Judge Colbath graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science, and subsequently obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami Law School in 1965.
