BIOGRAPHICAL:

Sid Brockley is a retired Oregon Circuit Court Judge who provides mediation and arbitration services. He is a former trial lawyer and adjunct law professor. He has worked as a full time mediator, arbitrator and reference judge since 1997. He has mediated hundreds of cases and has  made final award decisions in more than twenty arbitrations. He is fluent in Spanish. He was born in Iron Mountain, Michigan and has lived in Oregon since 1966.

  • 1983-1997 Clackamas Co. Oregon Circuit Court Judge. General Jurisdiction Judge hearing all types of civil and criminal case. Elected to serve three terms. Served as presiding judge for four years. Supervised and served as settlement judge in hundreds of civil cases.
  • 1966-1983 General trial practice in Oregon City, Oregon concentrating on tort, business and domestic relations litigation. Active land use practice before courts and local bodies. President of local bar association and chairman and member of various bar committees.
  • 1987-1997 Taught pre-trial litigation, equitable remedies and restitution and advanced torts at Willamette  University School of Law at Salem, Oregon.
  • 1976-1978 Commissioner Port of Portland
