BIOGRAPHICAL:No charge for travel
time or travel expense anywhere in Oregon and Washington Rich Spier opened his full-time practice as arbitrator and mediator in Portland, Oregon, in 1992, following practice as a litigator in prominent Portland firms. He now serves only as mediator. He started his legal career as law clerk for two years to the Chief Judge of the US District Court, District of Oregon.
Having handled several thousand engagements as arbitrator or mediator, Rich is among the most highly experienced lawyer/neutrals in the Pacific Northwest. As a full-time mediator, Rich no longer engages in the private practice of law for clients, but is proud to maintain active membership in the Oregon and Washington State Bars.
He welcomes engagements throughout Oregon and Washington (with no charge for travel time or travel expense). Rich is listed for Mediation in Best Lawyers in America©.

He is a Member (2012-2015) of the Oregon State Bar Board of Governors.
Rates$300 per hour, with minimum billing of four hours;
Cancellation or postponement fee of $1,200, if less than 14 days notice;
No charge for travel time or travel expense within Oregon and Washington
