BIOGRAPHICAL:

I have been heavily involved in ADR since the 1990's. Certainly for the last ten years, and probably longer, I have conducted over 150 mediations and arbitrations annually. I have spoken at several seminars regarding ADR, and I incorporate ADR concepts into my teaching at the University of Wisconsin Law School. I am a member of the Wisconsin Association of Mediators and the State Bar of Wisconsin Alternate Dispute Resolution Section.

I have been selected as an ADR "SuperLawyer" in Wisconsin every year since 2006; before that, I was named a "non-Milwaukee favorite" mediator by the Wisconsin Law Journal in 2002.

As a litigator, I represent both plaintiffs and defendants in civil litigation. The majority of my work, both in litigation and ADR, involves personal injury. However, my mediation practice includes a wide variety of substantive areas, including real estate, professional malpractice, first-party insurance issues, construction and residential defect cases, and so forth.

EDUCATION:

  • B.B.A., Business [with honors], University of Wisconsin-Madison, 1977 J.D.
