Marie Stanton is one of the most widely known and respected mediator/litigators in Wisconsin.  Her practice experience began in Appleton, Wisconsin, where, as an Assistant District Attorney, she tried 30 cases to jury verdict in 30 months.  For the next 30 years, she continued litigating on the civil side in injury, professional liability, insurance coverage and property claims.

Marie conducted her first mediation in 1993 at the request of medical malpractice counsel.  This new practice area has brought her state-wide recognition, as she receives over 100 requests annually to mediate or arbitrate disputed matters.  Marie thrives on the challenge of “getting it done” in the brief opportunity mediation allows to resolve protracted litigation.  She is energized by the challenge of complex, multi-party cases but equally so by the conflict of a bitter estate dispute.

Her career has many Firsts–including Wisconsin’s first woman admitted to the American College of Trial Lawyers and first invited by the Wisconsin Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates.  Marie continues to represent professionals in licensing, conduct and other administrative matters, devoting the balance of her time to dispute resolution.

Emphasis: Resolution in over 1000 disputes.  Marie has settled:

Water/ice penetration in new condo construction with multiple insurance carriers, and coverage exclusions
