BIOGRAPHICAL:Mr. Presnell's practice is concentrated in the areas of civil and commercial litigation, arbitration and mediation. Mr. Presnell has extensive civil trial and appellate experience in state and federal courts, in the representaion of plaintiffs and defendants, including more than 70 cases to a jury verdict. These cases include injury and insurance claims, contracts and commercial transactions, estate and will disputes, fraud and fiduciary claims, professional malpractice claims, security fraud litigation and securities arbitration, and bankruptcy reorganizations and adversary proceedings. Mr. Presnell is certified in Civil Trial Advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.
Mr. Presnell has been certified as a mediator by the North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts for court-ordered mediations since 1992. Mr. Presnell has acted as mediator or arbitrator in numerous cases.

Memberships & AffiliationsHe is a member of the Wake County, North Carolina Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the North Carolina State Bar, and the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers.
He is a past president of the Wake County Bar Association and the 10th Judicial District Bar. He previously served as president of the YMCA of the Triangle Area, Inc. and chairman of the Board of Trustees of Ravenscroft School. Currently, he is a director of the Triangle Community Foundation, a member of the North Carolina Bar Association Citizen Lawyer Task Force, and chair of the Wake County Bench-Bar Committee.
