BIOGRAPHICAL:As a full-time neutral, presently 45% mediation,55% arbitration, primarily in business (contractual, employment, shareholder, officer and director disputes and other corporate matters, business purchase-sales, etc.). Mr Weinman handles matters in many industries including manufacturing, service, computer, entertainment, real estate, insurance, and most recently health care (recent UCLA graduate of the School of Public Health with an MPH degree), as well as inheritance and other family dispute matters. As attorney, handled litigation and transactional matters in California and New York primarily in the areas of business and corporate law, employment, entertainment, general practice, intellectual property (not patent), and real estate.
Currently a member of the AAA's Large Complex Case Panel (LCCP) and arbitrator on the Commercial Panel. Over 10 years' experience primarily as a mediator and Los Angeles Superior Court Settlement Officer or Judge Pro Tem. Cases involved many millions of dollars and, of course, lesser amounts. Most matters ended in agreement, many times to the surprise of the parties and their counsel. Large caseload involved all types of subject matter, individuals, corporate disputants, and solutions.
