BIOGRAPHICAL:Karen Britt Peeler began her mediation and arbitration practice in 1994, drawing upon her experience as a civil litigator and trial attorney representing both plaintiffs and insurance companies. She has mediated more than 2,000 cases, including civil disputes in the areas of personal injury, property damage, workers compensation, medical malpractice, legal malpractice, equitable distribution and family financial , child custody, business contract disputes, real estate litigation, construction law, employment matters, and lemon-law cases. She also has assisted in mediation training seminars.
Ms. Peeler is an experienced arbitrator, concentrating in the areas of personal injury, property damage, general negligence, construction litigation and real property disputes.
Her 32 years of litigation experience cover a myriad of negligence matters, including automobile, airplane, construction, medical malpractice, legal malpractice, product liability, workers compensation, as well as family law and employment law. She also served as claims counsel for Lawyers Mutual Liability Insurance Company for a number of years, where she handled legal malpractice claims in cases involving a wide range of civil areas.
