BIOGRAPHICAL:Mr. Ward has participated in hundreds of mediations and arbitrations in a wide variety of cases. He is certified in mediations involving Superior Court cases, Workers Compensation, Family Law, including equitable distribution, child custody, and pre-nuptial issues, and mediations ordered through the Office of Administrative Hearings. He also has experience in Arbitrations involving civil and commercial matters. Mr. Ward has extensive experience in trial practice in all divisions of NC state and federal courts since 1973, specializing in contract disputes, business and commercial disputes, insurance, employment, personal injury and malpractice. He currently divides his time equally between his litigation practice and his mediation/arbitration practice.

Licensed in U.S. District Court (Eastern and Middle Districts), US. Court of Appeals, and Fourth Circuit. Civic affiliations include Swiss Bear of New Bern, Tryon Palace Commission, UNC Board of Visitors, and North Carolina Symphony.
RatesEffective January 1, 2011 my rates are $195 per hour plus a $195 administrative fee with a 2 hour minumum. THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR TRAVEL TIME WITHIN A 130 MILE RADIUS.
