John Ong

Known as a creative problem solver, I  have practiced law for over 30 years and have served as a mediator since 2007. Equally versed in mediating multi-party construction defect cases or complex business valuation cases, or emotionally challenging personal injury, trust and estate, professional negligence and wrongful death claims, I am diligent and effective in working with parties to find solutions and love the challenge each new mediation brings.   

My conflict resolution style is informed by decades of wide range of litigation experience and years not only mediating, but also training new mediators. I am intellectually curious and enjoy working with people. I focus on listening, building relationships and thoughtful questioning and find that my experience aids the process not only in understanding the terminology and legal issues at play, but also in quickly understanding the substance of a dispute and the pressure points on which it turns.

I enjoy the challenge of quickly grasping the essential facts, issues, and needs of the parties while working with them to resolve their disputes in a professional, productive, and positive manner.
