BIOGRAPHICAL:John C. Brownrigg, a partner in Erickson | Sederstrom, P.C., L.L.O., has served as a mediation neutral in more than 1,600 disputes, mediating over 90% of them to settlement. He has been recognized for excellence in mediation by Best Lawyers In America, Chambers and Partners, SuperLawyers and Lawdragon.
Mr. Brownrigg has successfully mediated to settlement numerous kinds of disputes in federal and state courts of Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota, including personal injury and death (auto, trucking, motorcycle and boating negligence, products liability, premises liability) claims; malpractice (medical, dental, podiatric, accounting, legal and architect/engineer) claims; construction claims; tort and contract claims against the state of Nebraska and political subdivisions; broker-dealer securities claims; insurance coverage (health, disability, etc.), fidelity, and fire and other casualty claims against insurers; banking, commercial and business (corporate and partnership dissolution, non-compete contracts, etc.) claims; wage-hours claims; will contests; age/race/gender-related employment discrimination and sexual harassment claims; Fair Housing Act claims; Federal Employers Liability Act (FELA) claims; and commercial and residential real estate (landlord-tenant, sale, boundary and use) claims. He has also rendered binding decisions in arbitration proceedings involving numerous kinds of disputes, including personal injury (auto, trucking, premises liability) claims; construction and real estate inspection claims; agreements between telecommunications carriers under the Federal Telecommunications Act; commercial and business claims; governmental employee (State of Nebraska) disciplinary matters; and casualty claims against insurers.
Mr. Brownrigg has for most of his career been active in numerous law-related and civic organizations, including service as president of the Omaha Bar Association, the Nebraska State Bar Association, and Legal Aid Society, Inc. (now Legal Aid of Nebraska).

Rates$250/hour for preparation and session time. No minimum. No charge for travel time or mileage within 60 mile radius of Omaha, NE; $125 per hour for travel time beyond 60 miles + $.50/mile. No administrative or cancellation fees.
