BIOGRAPHICAL:

Mr. Lockard is a highly effective litigator as well as a mediator. Jim is affiliated with Resolute Mediation & Arbitration, www.resolutesystems.com/PDF/LockardJim.pdf, a national mediation company, and has helped parties resolve more than 500 civil matters through the mediation process. He has employed a combination of facilitative and evaluative mediation styles. He has been certified and approved by the Tennessee Supreme Court as a Rule 31 Mediator. His background, experience and skills make him a very successful mediator with a proven track record for resolving cases.

Jim Lockard has litigated in every division of the City Courts, General Sessions Courts, Circuit Courts and Chancery Courts in Memphis and Shelby County, as well as the Western Appellate Court in Jackson, Tenn.

Jim Lockard,has been married to his wife, Martha for 31 years. They have two children, Nikki Lockard Smith and Jakob Lockard, and two wonderful grandchildren, Collin and Quinn. He is active in his church's (Immaculate Conception) efforts to build schools in Haiti. He is a black belt in karate as well as an avid University of Memphis supporter. He is a member of the "M" club, an organization for former Memphis State athletes. (Missouri Valley Champion in Still Rings in gymnastics at UOM -1967-68).

• Completed the Professional Trial Lawyers School in 1977, Knoxville, Tenn.
• Completed state-certified 40-hour mediation and advanced mediation training courses and approved Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 Mediator.
