BIOGRAPHICAL:

Judge McDermott started a private practice in Mobile in 1967, also serving part-time as a Presiding Judge with the local municpal court through to 1982.

In 1983, he was elected to the bench as a Circuit-Court Judge for Mobile County (13th Judicial Circuit of Alabama), serving through to 2001. He then served Of Counsel to the Ambrecht Jackson law firm for 2 years.

Since 2003, Judge McDermott has been mediating and arbitrating cases fulltime since 2003, encompassing a wide range of civil matters. To date, he has settled more than 400 cases.

$200 per hour for Mediations/Special Master
